Why Am I Here

The Goal
To design a thoughtful, emotionally resonant website for Why Am I Here, centred around sharing Larry Klopot’s story and promoting his book. The site needed to gently guide visitors through themes of grief, healing, and reflection, while also providing access to meaningful resources and a sense of community.

The Challenge
The main challenge was approaching such a deeply sensitive subject with care and authenticity. The design had to strike a balance between being visually calming and emotionally impactful while avoiding anything that felt overwhelming, clinical, or impersonal. Creating a clear flow while handling heavy content required intentional pacing, soft hierarchy, and respectful storytelling.

The Opportunity
Why Am I Here had the opportunity to become more than just a book website. By combining personal storytelling, accessible grief resources, and opportunities for connection, the platform can foster a sense of understanding and community, helping visitors feel less alone while encouraging them to engage with Larry’s message.
